VCK thanks CM for sanctioning ETP for Perundurai SIPCOT

The VCK Erode Tirupur Districts Regional Secretary Siruthai Valluvan thanked the Chief Minister for ordering the construction of an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to treat textile dyeing mills waste water  at a cost of Rs 40 crore in Perundurai Sipcot premises. 
He said the VCK planned to organize a massive protest on November 23 at Perundurai against environmental pollution at Erode Perundurai Sipcot campus.We asked permission from the police and the police refused permission. After that we went to the court and got an order to hold the protest.
In this situation, the Housing Minister S. Muthuswamy and the Environment Minister Meyyanathan took the issue to the attention of the government. The government immediately took note of this and Sports Minister Udayanidhi Stalin inspected the Sipcot campus and laid foundation for establishing Rs 40 crore ETP there. The construction work will be completed within 6 months.  For that, on behalf of the VCK, we thank the Government of Tamil Nadu, Siruthai Valluvan said.
