Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday assured the public that the verdict in the Kodanad murder-cum-robbery case will be delivered soon.
Stalin is on a state visit to the district. He inaugurated Mavooth village that was established at the cost of Rs 5.6 crore at Theppakadu elephant camp in the district. He also inaugurated the services of the aerial bunched cable from Thorapalli to Theppakadu that was established at the cost of Rs 5 crore, and flagged off the services of 32 all-terrain vehicles for the use of forest guards at the cost of Rs 2.93 crore.
The Chief Minister went for a walk in Ooty on Wednesday morning. While speaking to reporters, he said, “During the general election, I assured the public that the Pollachi rape case accused will be punished as per the law irrespective of their influence, and that has happened now. It was a testament to the AIADMK regime. A similar verdict will be delivered in the Kodanad case, as well.”
Everyone knows why opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami met union minister Amit Shah, though he claims to be the reason for fund allocation of metro rail project, and the 10-day work programme, he said, adding that EPS has been spreading lies, and people should be aware.
Earlier, he inspected the government hospital and ordered for the implementation of additional facilities at the hospital.
