VIT Vellore inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Industry-Academia Networking Conclave (IANC) 2025 on March 7, in association with its Career Development Centre. The three-day event focuses on bridging industry and academia to enhance curriculum development, address industrial challenges, and prepare students for future opportunities.
This year’s conclave, themed “ReVITalization for a Sustainable Future,” features four panel discussions and 22 plenary talks covering topics such as aviation technologies, carbon neutrality, circular economy, smart mobility, and sustainable healthcare. Companies like Honeywell, Saint-Gobain, Schneider Electric, and GKN Aerospace have posed technical challenges for students, with over 700 participants competing for prizes worth Rs.7.85 lakh and internship opportunities.
A key highlight was the participation of 125 MSMEs exploring collaboration opportunities under Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) directives. Additionally, the Volvo Group India (VGI) CSR Trust awarded a four-year scholarship to a female B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering student under its Volvo Group Educational Scholarship Programme.
The inaugural event saw the presence of Mathan Raj, Senior Vice-President of Mahindra Research Valley, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Robello Samuel, Chief Technical Officer of Halliburton USA, as Guest of Honour. VIT Chancellor Dr. G Viswanathan, along with Executive Director Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Partha Sharathi Mallick, also attended.
The conclave continues with discussions on ESG, smart technologies, women leaders in global equity, and redefining higher education in a changing landscape.
