Voter awareness campaign via flower pots in Nilgiris

District Electoral Officer and Nilgiris Collector M Aruna has been spearheading various campaigns to promote 100% voter turnout in the Nilgiris district. Recently, she actively participated in an awareness drive at the Government Botanical Garden.
In accordance with directives from the Election Commission of India, constituencies are conducting voter awareness campaigns to encourage participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. As part of this initiative, Collector M Aruna led an awareness campaign at the Botanical Garden. The garden was adorned with 240 flower pots arranged to spell out the words ‘Vote 100%’ and ‘April 19’, emphasising the significance of voting on election day. The district collector, accompanied by other government officials, posed in front of the flower pots, gesturing with their index fingers as is customary after casting a vote.
Additional Collector Koushik and various government officials also participated in the event, further strengthening efforts to promote voter engagement.
