The Lok Sabha sessions concluded on a successful note. Its efficacy was 129 percent said Om Birla the Speaker with pride. On the other hand, the Rajya Saba's efficacy was 98 percent.
The Lok Sabha Speaker and the Rajya Sabha Chairman refused to allow discussions on petrol and diesel price hike despite requests from opposition parties in both the houses. The opposition indulged in a ruckus over NEET and other issues.
Although the Budget session concluded a day ahead all the bills were passed with the cooperation of the opposition parties.
Unlike in the past when the Parliament went into a deadlock and remained inactive the productive conduct of the current session does give happiness to the people. It is everyone's hope that in the future too the Parliament will be productive.
However at the same time despite the completion of the new Parliament three years back, not a single problem has been settled. The Deputy Speaker election has not been held. At least in the next session, this should be resolved. People are eager to know who will be the next Deputy Speaker.
