The Department of Chemical Engineering and Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), Annamalai University, jointly organized the RUSA 2.0 and TNSCST sponsored two day National Workshop on Protect and Promote Intellectual Property Rights and Patents - 2022 (PPIPRP-2022) for faculties, Research Scholars and students on Nov 1 and 2. Prof. R. Dhanseker, Professor & Head, Department of Chemical Engineering welcomed.
Dr. R. Srinivasan, Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST), was the chief guest.Prof. A. Murugappan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology presided. Prof. RM. Kathiresan, Vice Chancellor of Annamalai University, inaugurated the workshop.On the 2nd day of workshop Prof. K. Seetharaman, Registrar of the varsity delivered the valedictory address and distributed the certificates.
Mr.S.UdhayaShankar, Assistant controller of patents and designs, Chennai was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address mentioning the importance of getting patent and intellectual property rights. 139 participants from various colleges, research institutes and varsities attended. Dr. R.Jayakumar, Coodinator, PPIPRP – 2022 gave a detailed picture about the National workshop and Dr. S. Dhanasekaran Coordinator, PPIPRP - 2022 proposed a vote of thanks and Prof. J. Jayabharathi, Director, CIPR, Dr. R. Palaniraj and Dr. P.Sivagurunathan successfully organized the event. All the professors, supporting staff, Dr. J. H. Backkiyaraj (PA to Vice-Chancellor), Thiru.G. Rathina Sampath, Public Relations Officer and students of the Department of Chemical Engineering attended.
