World-class liver transplant unit launched at Naruvee Hospital

A special surgery unit with world-class modern medical equipment for liver diseases and liver transplants was inaugurated on Aug 15 at the Naruvee Hospital in Vellore.
It was inaugurated by Dr. Sampath, Chairman of Naruvee Hospital. Naruvee Hospital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the nationally and internationally renowned 'L Cube' medical group in liver transplant surgery. As per the new agreement, a team of experts led by the heads of the 'L Cube' medical team, Dr. Joy Varghese and Dr. Vivek Vij, will be stationed at the Naruvee Hospital to provide liver-related treatments and transplants. The team also has the record of successfully performing four liver transplants in a single day.
The MoU for this agreement was signed by Dr. Sampath and Dr. Joy Varghese. This will reduce the need for patients to travel to other cities for liver treatment and provide them with the opportunity to receive world-class treatment in Vellore itself.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Hospital Vice President Anitha Sampath, Executive Director Dr. Paul Henry, Medical Superintendent Dr. Jacob Jose, Chief Operating Officer Saravanan Raman, General Manager Nitin Sampath and others.
