Writer Yuvan Chandrasekhar honored with Vishnupuram Literary Circle Award

Coimbatore based Art-promotion forum Vishnupuram Literary Circle honored Madurai-based writer and poet Yuvan Chandrasekhar with its Vishnupuram Award for 2023.
The award includes a cash prize of 5 lakh and a memento. 
Vishnupuram Award is presented to accomplished literary personalities since 2010. 
Writers A .Madhavan, Poomani, Devadevan, Thelivathai Joseph, Gnanakoothan ,Devathachan, Vannadhasan, C. Muthusamy, Raj Gauthaman, Abhi, Sureshkumara Indrajith, Vikramaadityan and recently Charunivedita were the recipients of the awards.
Writer Yuvan Chandrasekhar started writing short stories and poems since his college days and published his first poetry collection ‘OttraiUlagam’ 
in 1996.
During his literary career, Yuvan wrote numerous short stories, translations, poetry and novels, has been a recipient of multiple awards including the ‘Sparrow Literary Award’ for Tamil Poetry in 2019, the ‘Canadian Literary Garden Award’ for Payanakathai novel in 2011 and the ‘Tiruppur Tamil Sangam Award’.
Notable among his works are the novels Kulla Chithan Sarithiram, Pagadaiyattam, Kanalnathi, Manarkeni, Poem collection Verorukalam and Yuvaan Chandrasekar short stories.
