YC pays tribute to victims of bridge disaster mishap

The Youth Congress of Erode City paid a tearful tribute by lighting candles near Kamaraj statue  Erode for the dead in the suspension bridge accident at Morbi in Gujarat on Tuesday evening.  The cadres alleged that more than 140 children and civilians drowned in the river due to the mega scam in the reconstruction of the suspension bridge in Morbi, Gujarat. On the instructions of Tamil Nadu Youth Congress State President Lenin Prasad, the tearful tribute programme was  held across Tamil Nadu, at 5 30 pm on Nov 2. 

The candlelight   tribute was paid to the dead by cadres  led by district president Senthur Rajagopal, Erode City District Congress Committee in-charge D.  Thiruchelvam, party functionaries MM Harshad  KN Batcha,  Na. Karthi, Deepa, Advocate Muruganandam, Senthil Raja,  PA Rajesh Rajappa, Amman Matheswaran, and District Agriculture Unit President PA Periyasamy.
