Yoga Day celebration held in The United Public school at Coimbatore

The United Public School in Periyanaickenpalayam celebrated International Yoga Day and held its investiture ceremony for the academic session 2024-2025 with great enthusiasm and dignity.

The event was graced by chief guest Dr. Saravana Prabha, Associate Professor at Avinashilingam Institute of Home Science and Higher Education for Women, and guest of honour Yoga Maharshi Sevapur Manikam, founder of Natural Yoga Centre Coimbatore. The ceremony also saw the presence of Mythili Shanmugam, Secretary of UPS, along with the school's Principal, Vice Principal, Coordinators, Teachers, and Physical Directors.

The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking the commencement of the day's activities. The investiture ceremony saw the newly inducted Head Girl, Head Boy, and Captains and Vice Captains of the sports houses—Trojan, Titan, Olympian, and Spartan—introducing themselves. They were conferred with badges and sashes by the esteemed chief guest.

Both the chief guest and the guest of honour addressed the students, emphasising the importance of incorporating sports and yoga into their daily lives to build sportsmanship and team spirit. The event concluded with a shared sense of motivation and commitment among the students to embody the values of the school in all their endeavours.
