A remarkable display of marital art skills by twenty-five school students from Salem stole the spotlight at the South Indian Open Karate Championship recently held in Bengaluru.
The impressive showcase of talent took place at the South Indian Open Karate Championship, where young participants from Salem under the age bracket of 9 to 15 years competed in the Katta and Kumite (SAI) categories and secured both 1st and 2nd prizes. Hailing from various government and private schools around Kannankurichi in Salem, these budding martial artists were under the training of P.Ravikumar and Karate Masters K.Raja from JOMMA Karate school.
The accomplishments of these young martial artists were celebrated during the certificate and medal distribution ceremony held at the Jayalakshmi Primary School in Kannankurichi. The event was graced by the presence of S.R.S Jayakaran, the Correspondent of the School, parents, and prominent individuals from the community. P.Ravikumar, the Chief Trainer and Examiner, praised the young contenders for their remarkable skills.
I.Samuel Selvaraj, the Head Master of Government Primary School, Melur in Yercaud, presided over the event and distributed the prizes to the students. were C. Murugan Karate Master, M.Selvaraj, Social Worker, Ravi, Government Legal Advisor, and Tipu Sultan from the Tamilnadu Police Department were among others who were present and encouraged the kids.
The young participants took the opportunity to showcase their impressive skills to the gathered audience, leaving a lasting impression on everyone. Dedication, discipline, and remarkable talent were evident in their performances.
