Yugam techno cultural fest begins at Kumaraguru Institutions

Yugam 2026, the 14th edition of the techno cultural festival of Kumaraguru Institutions, began with a grand inauguration at the Sarabhai Kalam Theatre on the campus on March 5.
The three day festival was inaugurated by Sriram V, Head of Precision Products and Central Services at Larsen and Toubro Limited.
The event marks the start of a series of technical competitions, cultural programmes, workshops and conclaves bringing together students, innovators and industry leaders.
The celebrations continued with a vibrant Nasik Dhol performance held in front of the MVB block. The traditional Maharashtrian percussion ensemble created an energetic atmosphere on campus as students gathered to witness the rhythmic performance.
As part of the festival, the Inspire India Youth Conclave was organised under the theme “The Human Edge”. The conclave brought together entrepreneurs, professionals and thought leaders who shared insights on leadership, innovation and the role of human values in a technology driven world.
Digital creator Sai Sethu conducted an interactive workshop titled “Timeless Influence”, highlighting how social media can be used responsibly for leadership and civic engagement.
The conclave also featured a keynote address by S Inba, IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Training), Coimbatore, who spoke on “Service Beyond Self – A Journey of Grit, Duty and Determination”, encouraging students to pursue careers driven by integrity and purpose.


The festival also witnessed the launch of Angadi, a student run marketplace that provided a platform for student entrepreneurs to showcase products, ideas and creative ventures.
Career Fair 3.0 was organised to connect students with international education consultants and academic partners, offering information about higher education opportunities abroad, professional certifications and emerging career paths.
E Summit 2026, the entrepreneurship conclave of Yugam, brought together founders, investors and industry leaders through keynote sessions, panel discussions and networking events aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among students.
Another highlight was E Grid, a conclave focusing on sustainable transport and future mobility. Experts discussed developments in electric mobility, energy technologies and sustainable transportation solutions. The first day concluded with the ProShow cultural event. The programme began with a classical dance performance by Team Evoke. The highlight of the evening was the performance “Echoes of Fire” by the band Agam, known for blending Carnatic music with progressive rock.
The event also featured a performance by Agratha, Kumaraguru’s student band, showcasing the musical talent of the campus.
