Portuguese Tourist shares harrowing experience on Indian train

A Portuguese tourist has shared a disturbing experience she faced while travelling on an Indian train, recounting how a group of young men allegedly followed her and tried to open the toilet door during the journey.
The tourist, Janas Baria from Portugal, regularly documents her travels across different countries and posts videos of her experiences on social media. She recently visited India and has been sharing videos of her travels across various States on Instagram.
In a recent video, Baria spoke about an incident that occurred while she was travelling with a friend in a third AC compartment on an Indian train.
According to her, a group of young men seated opposite them kept staring at them for a long time, making them uncomfortable. When she later went to use the restroom, she chose the toilet in the next compartment instead of the one near her seat to avoid passing close to the group.
However, she alleged that the men followed her to the restroom and even tried to open the door while she was inside. She said her friend quickly came to the spot and stood near the door until she came out.
The tourists later reported the incident to the ticket examiner, who shifted them to seats in a second AC compartment, where they felt safer. Baria thanked the railway official for assisting them during the situation.
Despite the incident, she said most of her travel experiences in India have been positive, but such situations highlight the importance of trusting one’s instincts and staying alert while travelling.
In another video, she also mentioned that while walking on the streets of Mumbai, two people followed her for a long distance and repeatedly insisted on taking selfies, which she described as harassment.
