Scorpio car catches fire on road in Coimbatore

An incident in which a Scorpio car suddenly caught fire in the middle of the road created a stir near Coimbatore on
Wednesday. According to sources, the car was travelling from Alandurai towards Perur when smoke suddenly started coming out of the engine as it approached Chellappampalayam. Alerted by the smoke, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle on the roadside.
Within moments, the car caught fire and was engulfed in flames. The occupants of the car quickly got out of the vehicle, and no injuries were reported. Local residents informed the Fire and Rescue Services personnel, who rushed to the spot and battled the flames for about half an hour before bringing the fire under control. The incident caused a brief commotion in the area.
