A new branch of Indian Overseas Bank was inaugurated near the campus of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University at Samayapuram on Thursday to provide banking services to students, faculty members and residents of the surrounding areas.
The branch was opened with the blessings of Srinivasan, Chancellor of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor C.K. Ranjan, who formally inaugurated the branch and highlighted the importance of bringing modern banking facilities closer to the academic community and the public.
Officials said the newly opened branch is the 65th branch under the Tiruchi Region of Indian Overseas Bank and is expected to enhance access to banking services for the university community.
General Manager of Indian Overseas Bank G. Sriram addressed the gathering and said the branch would offer all major banking services for the benefit of students, faculty members and the general public.
University officials, staff and students attended the event. Branch Manager Daniel Richard J delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the chief guest and participants for making the inauguration a success.
