The Executive Director of Indian Bank announced in Coimbatore that a target has been set to provide loans worth ₹1,000 crore to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the zones operating under the Field General Manager’s Office in Coimbatore during the special camp.
Indian Bank’s Executive Director, Ashutosh Choudhury, participated in a special loan camp for MSMEs held in Coimbatore. Speaking to reporters, he said that through this special loan camp, Indian Bank has planned to distribute loans worth about ₹1,000 crore via the zones under the Coimbatore Field General Manager’s Office.
During the one day camp, loans worth nearly ₹200 crore were disbursed.
Highlighting the bank’s performance, he said the MSME lending segment is witnessing a healthy growth rate of 16.5 per cent. He added that the bank has introduced a fast-track, technology-driven lending system, moving away from traditional methods. Customers who submit income tax returns, GST details and bank statements can receive in-principle loan approval within 30 minutes.
Following digital approval, bank officials will conduct field inspections of the concerned enterprises and finalise the loans for quick disbursal.
