Chennai Super Kings organised a grand reunion ceremony titled “Roar 26” at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, drawing a large turnout of enthusiastic fans.
The event was held ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season, which is set to commence on March 28 with 10 teams, including Chennai Super Kings, in the fray. The celebrations began at 4 p.m. and featured a mix of entertainment programmes, including pageantry, music and dance performances.
Thousands of fans filled the stadium to witness the event. Former players Suresh Raina, Matthew Hayden, Murali Vijay and S. Badrinath received a rousing reception as they entered the venue.
M.S. Dhoni drew loud applause from the crowd upon his arrival. A friendly cricket match between former and current CSK players was also held as part of the celebrations.
The event concluded with a musical performance by composer A.R. Rahman, adding to the festive atmosphere at the stadium.
