A complaint has been lodged at the SRMC police station against a small screen assistant director, Aadhi, for allegedly cheating serial actress Thamaraichelvi by misappropriating her gold jewellery.
According to police sources, the complaint was filed by Thamaraichelvi’s husband Parthasarathy a few days ago. Thamaraichelvi is known for her participation in the reality show Bigg Boss aired on a private television channel and is currently acting in television serials.
In the complaint, Parthasarathy stated that Aadhi had been known to the family for several years and was closely associated with them. Last year, when Aadhi sought financial help citing an emergency, Parthasarathy reportedly asked him to pledge three sovereigns of Thamaraichelvi’s gold jewellery as he was unable to provide cash.
Aadhi is said to have pawned the jewellery in his name at a pawn shop in Ayyappanthangal and obtained money. However, when Parthasarathy later approached the shop to retrieve the jewellery, he was informed that Aadhi had already redeemed and sold it for a higher amount.
Despite repeated attempts to contact him, Aadhi allegedly failed to return the jewellery or provide a satisfactory response.
Based on the complaint, SRMC police have initiated an inquiry and summoned Aadhi for questioning. Meanwhile, a video released by Thamaraichelvi regarding the issue is circulating widely on social media.
