A shocking incident has come to light in Telangana’s Sangareddy district, where a man allegedly murdered his wife following a dispute over her relationship with another person.
Siddha Reddy, a panipuri vendor from Jagirabad, was living with his wife Kavitha and their two children. Kavitha, a tailor, had reportedly come into contact with Pawan Kumar Reddy from the Chandragiri area near Tirupati through social media, and the acquaintance later developed into a relationship.
Police said Kavitha left her home last month and went to stay with Pawan Kumar Reddy in Jadcherla. Following a complaint from her husband, police traced her location and accompanied Siddha Reddy to bring her back.
Despite counselling by the police, Kavitha initially refused to return with her husband, leading to a heated argument. However, after further intervention, she agreed to go back with him.
While returning, the group stopped near Sadashivapet. Police said Siddha Reddy allegedly purchased a knife from a nearby shop and later, in a fit of anger, attacked his wife inside the car.
The accompanying police personnel intervened and overpowered him, but Kavitha sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Police have registered a case and arrested Siddha Reddy. Further investigation is underway.
