Election Flying Squad officials conducted a vehicle check on Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader Vijay during his campaign journey from Madurai to Karaikudi on Friday.
With campaigning intensifying ahead of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections, Vijay arrived in Madurai from Chennai by air and proceeded towards Karaikudi by road to take part in election meetings.
During the journey, officials intercepted his campaign vehicle near S.S. Fort and carried out a routine inspection as part of election monitoring measures. Vijay cooperated with the officials during the check.
After the inspection, the vehicle was cleared and Vijay continued his journey to Karaikudi, where he is scheduled to campaign in support of party candidates in Sivaganga district.
