Actor Mansoor Ali Khan, contesting as an independent candidate from Lalgudi constituency, has been admitted to a hospital after suffering a sudden health issue during election campaigning.
With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled to be held on April 23, political parties have intensified their campaigns across the State. Several candidates have reportedly faced health issues amid the hectic schedule.
Earlier, BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan was admitted to hospital due to ill health, while PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss also fell ill during campaigning and is undergoing treatment.
Mansoor Ali Khan had been actively campaigning in Lalgudi over the past few weeks, engaging directly with voters by visiting markets, interacting with residents and conducting door-to-door outreach.
He reportedly fell ill suddenly during the campaign and was admitted to hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.
