A dispute between two neighbouring families over pet cats escalated into a heated argument and police intervention in the Seshadripuram area of Bengaluru.
According to police, one family had been raising a female cat, while their neighbours owned a male cat. The female cat recently gave birth to four kittens, following which the owners alleged that the neighbouring male cat was responsible.
The family, unwilling to raise all four kittens, approached their neighbours and insisted that they take responsibility for them. This led to a fierce argument between the two sides, which escalated into a physical altercation.
During the dispute, a serious allegation was made that one of the individuals threatened harm to the neighbour’s children, further intensifying tensions.
On receiving information, Seshadripuram police rushed to the spot and attempted to pacify both families. However, the argument continued even in the presence of police.
After prolonged mediation, a compromise was reached, with both families agreeing to take care of two kittens each.
Police said one of the families is considering filing a formal complaint regarding the alleged threat. The unusual dispute over the kittens has since become a topic of discussion in the locality.
