Election flying squads inspected a helicopter carrying Tamil Nadu BJP vice-president Khushbu as part of intensified surveillance ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled for April 23. The Election Commission has stepped up monitoring across the State to prevent the movement of unaccounted cash and other violations during the campaign period. Raids and vehicle checks are being carried out at multiple locations. As part of these measures, flying squads have been inspecting vehicles used by party leaders and candidates, including helicopters deployed for election campaigning.
In this context, officials conducted a check on the helicopter carrying Khushbu in Ooty. The inspection was part of routine procedures to ensure compliance with election guidelines. Polling for all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu will be held in a single phase on April 23, with major political alliances actively campaigning across the State.
