Delhi Police have arrested a gang involved in planning and executing thefts targeting houses, with valuables worth around Rs 1 crore including jewellery and cash.
The case came to light following a complaint of robbery at a residence in Arya Nagar in the Madhu Vihar area. Acting on the complaint, police launched an intensive investigation but initially found no leads.
Officials then analysed footage from nearly 150 CCTV cameras covering a radius of about 10 km from the crime scene, which helped them trace the suspects.
Two accused, Bablu alias Kalua and Rampal alias Ramkumar, were first arrested.
Based on their interrogation, a third The Accused, Vishal alias Vikku, was subsequently apprehended.
Police said further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the gang’s activities and recover stolen valuables.
