Actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar has returned to Chennai to exercise his franchise in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled to be held in a single phase on Thursday across all 234 constituencies.
Election preparations are in full swing, with the distribution of electronic voting machines to polling stations underway across the State.
Amid this, there has been a notable movement of voters travelling back to their hometowns, including those working abroad. Social media posts have also highlighted high participation, with one viral video claiming that a large number of passengers on a Singapore–Tiruchi flight were returning to vote.
Ajith Kumar’s return has drawn attention online, with visuals of his arrival going viral. The actor recently participated in the prestigious 24H Series endurance race held in Belgium, where his team secured second place, earning appreciation from fans.
His decision to return to Chennai to cast his vote has been widely noted as a gesture of civic responsibility.
