Rs 2 Crore Seized From Aide Of Mylapore DMK Candidate

Election officials seized Rs. 2 crore in cash from the residence of an aide to a DMK candidate in Mylapore constituency ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled on Thursday.
Based on a tip-off, the Flying Squad conducted a raid at the house of Sathyamoorthy, personal assistant to DMK candidate Tha. Velu, on Wednesday.
During the search, officials recovered bundles of Rs. 500 notes concealed in a bag. The cash was counted using special machines brought to the spot.
In addition to the cash, officials also seized voter lists, diaries and other documents suspected to be related to election activities. Preliminary findings indicate possible distribution of money to party functionaries.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the मामला, as enforcement teams continue intensified checks across the State to curb electoral malpractices.
The seizure, on the eve of polling, has triggered political ripples in Mylapore and across Tamil Nadu.
