Dubai road accident claims seven lives, including Indian workers

Seven people, including Indian workers, were killed and nine others seriously injured in a tragic road accident on Emirates Road in Dubai on Monday.
According to preliminary findings by Dubai Police, the accident occurred when a mini-bus carrying workers rammed into the rear of a lorry that had stopped on the road following a sudden mechanical failure.
Officials said the lorry had developed a technical fault and came to a halt in the middle of the roadway. The driver of the mini-bus, which was travelling behind the vehicle, reportedly failed to maintain a safe distance and lost control, resulting in a high-impact collision.
The front portion of the mini-bus was completely crushed in the crash.
Seven passengers died on the spot, while nine others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The Indian Embassy in Dubai has confirmed that Indian workers were among those killed in the accident.
However, the exact number of Indian victims has not yet been officially disclosed.
In a statement, the embassy expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and said its officials had immediately visited the hospital to meet the injured Indians and extend support.
The embassy further stated that it was working closely with local authorities to provide all necessary assistance to the victims and their families.
Efforts are also underway to facilitate support services and ensure proper coordination with those affected by the tragedy.

accident.
