Hundreds of students of The Camford International School came together for an anti-drug awareness campaign titled “Choose Goals, Not Drugs,” drawing inspiration from the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.
A towering 10-foot football installation and the flags of all 48 participating nations formed the centrepiece of the initiative.

Students assembled around the installation, symbolising unity through sport and promoting a message of choosing passion, purpose and healthy pursuits over drugs. The campaign was organised ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final between Spain and Argentina, scheduled for July 19. Students also expressed support for both finalists while highlighting the discipline, perseverance and determination needed to compete at the highest level of football.
Through the initiative, the school underscored the role of sport in building confidence, teamwork, physical well-being and encouraging positive life choices among young people.
School Chairman N. Arul Ramesh and Correspondent Poongothai Arul Ramesh stressed the importance of guiding young people towards meaningful goals and creating greater awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

The campaign carried the message: “48 Nations. One Game. One World. One Powerful Choice — Choose Goals, Not Drugs.”
