The 25th Annual Kiddies Meet of PSG Public Schools was celebrated with enthusiasm on the school campus here on Friday, with young students showcasing their sporting skills, confidence and team spirit.The event was presided over by Managing Trustee L. Gopalakrishnan, while Sangeetha Sridhar attended as the chief guest and encouraged the gathering with her presence.
Headmistress B. Velumani welcomed the dignitaries, parents, staff and students. Principal E. Girish, Vice-Principal E. H. Sathish Kumar and David, Founder PYP Head of PSG World School, were also present.
The programme began with an impressive march past by the four houses, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and an oath-taking ceremony. Young students enthusiastically participated in various track and field events, displaying energy, confidence and sportsmanship.
Colourful and creative displays by the students drew appreciation from the audience for their coordination and discipline. A special event for parents also witnessed enthusiastic participation and added to the festive atmosphere.
At the valedictory ceremony, the Overall Championship Trophy and Best March Past Trophy were presented to the winning houses in recognition of their performance and discipline.
The event highlighted the school’s emphasis on physical fitness, teamwork, discipline and the holistic development of children.
