Chief Minister Vijay today inaugurated a new advanced eye surgery technology at the renowned Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai.
The new technology has been introduced with the aim of providing world-class eye care to the public with greater precision and in less time. The advanced system is expected to enable doctors to perform procedures for cataracts, retinal conditions and refractive errors using modern laser and computer-assisted equipment.
The technology is designed to minimise surgical trauma and facilitate faster recovery for patients.
Leading ophthalmologists and senior executives of Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, along with senior government officials and other dignitaries, participated in the launch event.
The medical team explained the functioning of the advanced equipment and the benefits of the new treatment methods. The facility is expected to benefit people in Chennai and surrounding areas.
