Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kaynes Semicon Private Limited to strengthen the talent ecosystem for India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
The MoU was signed during the ESDM & Semiconductors Conclave – Silicon Surge, an industry-academia platform that brought together industrialists, semiconductor experts, innovators and academic leaders to discuss India’s growing role in the global semiconductor value chain.
The agreement was formally signed by P. Sriram, Founder Chairman of Chennai Institute of Technology, and Paul Ilangovan, Operations Head, Kaynes Semicon Private Limited.
The partnership aims to reinforce industry-academia collaboration and support the development of a future-ready workforce equipped to meet the evolving requirements of the semiconductor and ESDM industries.
The conclave provided a platform for stakeholders from industry and academia to exchange views on emerging opportunities, skill requirements and India’s growing participation in the global semiconductor ecosystem.
