The 60th PSG Trophy All India Basketball Tournament for men and the All India Basketball Tournament for women are being held at the PSG College campus in Coimbatore from August 26 to 30.
In the men’s matches held on Friday, New Delhi-based ONGC defeated Chennai-based Hindustan University 89-68. Indian Bank of Chennai defeated the Indian Navy team from Lonavala 87-68.
In the third men’s match, the Kerala State Electricity Board team from Thiruvananthapuram defeated the Indian Air Force team from New Delhi 71-60.
In the women’s category, South Central Railway from Secunderabad defeated the Coimbatore District Basketball Association team 90-57. South Western Railway from Hubli defeated Sacred Heart College of Chalakudy 62-38.
With these results, Kerala State Electricity Board, Rest of Tamil Nadu, Indian Bank and ONGC have qualified for the men’s semi-finals.
In the semi-finals scheduled for August 29, Rest of Tamil Nadu will take on Kerala State Electricity Board, while Indian Bank will face ONGC.
