Vijay Again Sits Away From Chief Minister’s Seat In Assembly

Chief Minister Vijay on Monday once again drew attention by sitting alongside his Ministers and watching the Assembly proceedings instead of using the seat designated for the Chief Minister.
During the ongoing Budget session, Vijay was seen sitting in the seat allotted to Water Resources Minister Pusamy Anand and discussing the proceedings with Minister Aadhav Arjuna.
The Budget session, which began on August 5, is currently witnessing debates on demands for grants following the presentation of the Budget. On Monday, discussions were held on the demands of the departments dealing with persons with disabilities, welfare, agriculture, prohibition and excise, social welfare and women’s rights.
A calling-attention motion on the free dhoti and saree scheme proposed for Pongal 2027 was also taken up.
This was not the first time Vijay had moved away from his designated seat during the current session. Last week, he was seen sitting beside Minister Sengottaiyan and following the debate during the discussion on demands for grants.
The Chief Minister’s practice of sitting among his fellow Ministers and closely observing the Assembly proceedings has attracted considerable attention.
