Quater bottle from TASMAC shop contains dead insect

A 44-year-old daily-wage worker allegedly suffered vomiting and dizziness after consuming liquor from a quarter bottle purchased at a Tasmac shop near Tiruchendur in Thoothukudi
district.
The worker, Peechimuthu of Karambavilai in Tiruchendur, had gone with some friends to a Tasmac shop on the Tiruchendur-Kulasekaranpattinam Road. He purchased three quarter bottles of liquor and consumed liquor from one of
them.Soon after, he reportedly developed vomiting and dizziness. When his friends checked another bottle they had purchased, they were shocked to find dead insects inside it.Peechimuthu suspected that the bottle he had consumed from could also have contained a dead insect and said this might have caused his illness.
His friends immediately took him to the Tiruchendur Government Hospital, where he received
treatment.
The incident of dead insects being allegedly found inside a liquor bottle purchased from a Tasmac outlet has caused concern among liquor consumers in the
area.
