Faridabad’s nine-year-old Arshi Gupta produced a dominant performance in the Mini Max category to score maximum championship points in the fifth round of the MECO-FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship RMC India 2026, which concluded at Meco Kartopia here on Sunday.
Representing Leapfrog Racing, Arshi won both the Pre-Final and Final races. She also recorded eight consecutive fastest laps in the Final.
Bengaluru racers Zidaan Arshaan Anees of Peregrine Racing in Micro Max and Akshat Misra of Peregrine Racing in Senior Max also secured maximum championship points by winning both their Pre-Final and Final races. Pune’s Hridaan Sanadhya of Crest Motorsports topped the Junior Max category with victories in both races.
The races witnessed several contacts and collisions, adding to the intensity of the competition. In the Mini Max Final, Coimbatore’s Shivneel Karthikeyan of MSPORT, son of India’s first Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan, fought his way through the field to finish third. Bengaluru’s Ridhaan Anil Kumarr of Red Rabbit Racing finished second behind Arshi Gupta.
In the Micro Max category, Zidaan Arshaan Anees took the lead at the start and maintained a consistent pace to stay ahead of the chasing pack. Kolhapur’s Ayansh Patil of MSPORT and Gurugram’s Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat of Leapfrog Racing also finished on the podium in two races during the day.
In Junior Max, Chennai’s Rivaan Dev Preetham of MSPORT went without a win but finished fourth in the Pre-Final and second in the Final after making his way from mid-grid to the podium.
The Senior Max races, featuring 23-kart grids, produced close finishes. Akshat Misra topped both the Pre-Final and Final. Rohaan Madesh of Peregrine Racing finished second in the Pre-Final but dropped out of contention after a collision in the Final, allowing Chennai’s Eshanth Vengatesan of MSPORT to finish second ahead of Mumbai’s Aahil Mecklai of Rayo Racing.
In the Senior Max Final, Akshat Misra won in 15 minutes 51.277 seconds, followed by Eshanth Vengatesan and Aahil Mecklai. The Pre-Final was also won by Akshat Misra in 13 minutes 11.439 seconds, with Rohaan Madesh second and Eshanth Vengatesan third.
Hridaan Sanadhya won the Junior Max Final in 14 minutes 58.444 seconds, ahead of Rivaan Dev Preetham and Hamza Balasinorwala. Sanadhya had also won the Pre-Final, followed by Swarnav Das and Rishik Rohit Reddy.
Arshi Gupta won the Mini Max Final in 13 minutes 31.660 seconds, ahead of Ridhaan Anil Kumarr and Shivneel Karthikeyan. She had also won the Pre-Final, with Ridhaan Anil Kumarr second and Shiv Tummala third.
Zidaan Arshaan Anees won the Micro Max Final in 12 minutes 09.957 seconds, followed by Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat and Ayansh Patil. He also won the Pre-Final, with Ayansh Patil second and Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat third.
The championship is being conducted with SIDVIN Energy Engineering as the Presenting Sponsor and MRF Tyres as the partner sponsor.
