Nurse held for stealing gold chain

Kulithalai police on Wednesday arrested a nurse of a private hospital for allegedly stealing a gold thali chain from a female patient.
According to sources, K. Saveetha of Malaiappa Nagar reportedly removed a gold chain weighing about seven sovereigns from Dhanapakyam, 65, of Pichampatti, who was admitted to a hospital and replaced it with a covering chain. The incident happened when she went to a scan centre. Acting on a complaint, the Kulithalai police conducted an inquiry and arrested Saveetha. They also recovered the gold chain from her.
