Firefighters Rescue Toddler With Head Stuck In Vessel

A one-and-a-half-year-old girl was rescued after her head accidentally became stuck inside a cooking vessel at her house in Aasiriyar Colony near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore.
Ramkumar, a resident of the area, was at home while his wife was preparing food. Their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Yashanasri, was playing inside the house when she began rolling a cooking vessel lying on the
floor.
During this, the child’s head unexpectedly became trapped inside the vessel. The shocked parents tried to remove it but were unsuccessful. The child continued to cry, following which the Periyanaickenpalayam Fire and Rescue Services was alerted.
A team of firefighters led by station officer Jegadeesh Subash Chandrabose rushed to the spot and began the rescue operation.
Using appropriate safety equipment, the firefighters carefully cut the vessel and removed it from the child’s head without causing injury. The child was rescued
safely.
The parents and local residents heaved a sigh of relief after the toddler was rescued. Residents also appreciated the firefighters for their prompt action in saving the child.
