My father becoming Chief Minister was a very happy moment: Jason Sanjay

Director Jason Sanjay has said that his father Vijay becoming Chief Minister was an extremely happy moment for him and everyone around his father.Speaking at the Telugu pre-release event of his directorial debut Sigma in Hyderabad, Jason Sanjay said he was very happy when his father became Chief Minister. He said the occasion was a special and joyful moment for him and those around his father.Jason Sanjay said his father was eagerly waiting for the release of Sigma and was keen to see his work. However, as Chief Minister, Vijay now has several responsibilities and would therefore not participate in the film’s promotional events or promote the movie himself.He said he was firm that the film’s promotional activities should remain focused entirely on Sigma and should not become centred around his father.
Jason Sanjay also said his father was very interested in seeing what he had done in the film. Asked what he had learnt from his father, he replied, “Punctuality.”Sigma marks Jason Sanjay’s debut as a director. The action thriller is produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner, with Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. Thaman has composed the music.Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Pandit, Anbu Dasan, Yogi Babu, Mahalakshmi, Sheela Rajkumar, Kamalesh and Kiran Konda are among those appearing in important roles.The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on October 2. Its music and trailer launch event is scheduled to be held on September 18.
