Srishti 2026, the festive edit of the Crafts Council of Tamilnadu (CCTN), is being held from September 17 to 19 at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam in Coimbatore.
The three-day curated sale features designers, craftepreneurs and labels working closely with artisans and weavers. Visitors can find textiles, saris, apparel for men, women and children, precious and semi-precious jewellery, home décor, home linen and lifestyle accessories.
More than 66 stalls across these categories are participating in this year’s edition, along with 11 food stalls.
The Crafts Council of Tamilnadu is an NGO working for the upliftment of crafts and artisans in Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with the Crafts Council of India, Chennai, which is affiliated with the World Crafts Council.
Srishti is curated by the executive committee and members of CCTN as a festive sale ahead of Deepavali. The event showcases indigenous weaves and traditional craftsmanship from across India.
The proceeds from Srishti are used to subsidise participation costs for artisans at the annual Crafts Bazaar in Coimbatore.
The bazaar provides artisans from across India a platform to exhibit and sell textiles and handicrafts.
The initiative supports CCTN’s objective of promoting traditional crafts and providing artisans with access to a wider customer base.
