24-member SMC elected at Corporation school

A 24-member School Management Committee (SMC) was elected at the Erode Corporation Kamaraj Street Primary School here on Friday.
The committee will meet once a month to discuss measures to increase student enrolment, identify and undertake development works and monitor the implementation of the Chief Minister’s breakfast scheme and noon-meal
programme.
As part of the monitoring mechanism, one of the SMC members can visit the school every day to assess the quality of the breakfast and noon meal being served to students.
Erode Corporation Ward Councillor Palaniappa Senthil, Headmistress Mohana, Mayilanandan, a supervisor from the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and newly elected SMC members participated in the meeting.
