The 31st anniversary celebration of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. John De Britto Conference, attached to St. Arulanandar Church on Thadagam Road, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore, was held on September 20 at the parish catechism hall.
The anniversary Mass was held at 10 a.m., followed by the anniversary celebrations. Members of the society, parishioners and well-wishers participated in the programme.
R. Rajesh, President, Jr. Brathab Stanislaus, Vice-President, C. Suguna Mary, Secretary, V.S. Sagaya Arokiya Muthu, Joint Secretary, and R. Arulraj, Treasurer, are office-bearers of the St. John De Britto Conference.
As part of the programme, the annual report for 2025-26 was presented by V.S. Sagaya Arokiya Muthu, while R. Arulraj presented the financial report. Felicitations were offered by the parish priest, assistant parish priest, nuns, society office-bearers and special benefactors.
The programme also included the presentation of a sewing machine to a beneficiary and distribution of mementoes to adopted families. Special guests and benefactors were honoured during the event.
Society President R. Rajesh delivered the acceptance address. Former President Samuel Raj compered the programme, while Sister Motcha Mary proposed the vote of thanks.
The society members also renewed their pledge during the 31st anniversary Mass in the presence of the parish priest.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. John De Britto Conference, functions with the objective of serving people in need and supporting families through various welfare activities.
