PSG Hospitals, AVP launch integrated medicine facility in Coimbatore

PSG Hospitals, Super Speciality Hospital, in collaboration with The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Limited (AVP), has launched a dedicated Integrated Medicine Facility in Coimbatore, bringing Modern Medicine, Ayurveda and Yoga together under a coordinated care model.
The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Dr J S Bhuvaneswaran, Director, PSG Super Speciality Hospital, and C. Devidas Varier, Managing Director, AVP.
The initiative aims to provide a structured multidisciplinary approach to chronic, lifestyle-related and wellness concerns. Patients will receive coordinated inputs from Modern Medicine specialists, Ayurveda Vaidyas and Yoga therapists based on their individual requirements.
The facility will provide integrated consultations for arthritis, lifestyle disorders, diabetes, hypertension, stress, insomnia and preventive healthcare. Authentic Panchakarma therapies will also be available as part of the services.
PSG Hospitals introduced Yoga as a therapeutic discipline in 2007 and has continued to incorporate it into patient care and rehabilitation. The hospital and AVP have also undertaken joint clinical research on the integrated management of rheumatoid arthritis, combining modern rheumatology with Ayurveda and Yoga protocols.
The new facility builds on this experience by bringing the three disciplines together within a hospital-based clinical environment. The approach seeks to coordinate clinical assessment, traditional systems of medicine and therapeutic lifestyle practices wherever appropriate.
PSG Hospitals has also introduced the Nalam – Pancha Kosam Health Check-up, combining modern diagnostic evaluation with Ayurveda Prakriti analysis, Yoga assessment and personalised diet and lifestyle guidance.
The Integrated Medicine Facility is located at A-Block, fourth floor, PSG Hospitals, Super Speciality Hospital, Coimbatore.
