Avera Heart Hospital, a dedicated cardiac care facility, was inaugurated in Coimbatore by S. V. Balasubramaniam, Chairman of Bannari Amman Group, who attended the function as the chief guest.
The 100-bed hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology and specialised facilities for comprehensive cardiac care. The facility has two Philips Azurion 7-Series catheterisation laboratories, two Getinge modular operation theatres, an 18-bed Coronary Care Unit and a 16-bed Cardiothoracic Post-Operative Unit. It is also equipped with a Philips Incisive Cardiac CT system featuring AI-integrated imaging technology.
Dr. R. V. Ramani, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sankara Eye Foundation; Vijay Mohan, Founder of Pricol Limited; Malarvizhi, Managing Trustee of VLB Trust and Krishna Group of Institutions; and playback singer Sujatha Mohan were the Guests of Honour.
Praful Sejpal, President of Coimbatore Gujarati Samaj, and Santosh Mundra, President of Rajasthani Sangh, were among the special invitees.
Dr. Rajpal K. Abhaichand, Chairman of Avera Heart Hospital, and Dr. Chandrasekar P., Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Director of Avera Heart Hospital, were also present.
Addressing the gathering, S. V. Balasubramaniam highlighted Coimbatore’s achievements in industry, education and healthcare. He stressed the importance of quality cardiac care amid changing lifestyles and the growing incidence of lifestyle-related diseases.
Dr. R. V. Ramani congratulated Dr. Rajpal K. Abhaichand, Dr. Chandrasekar P. and the Avera team for establishing the hospital. Vijay Mohan highlighted the growing need for specialised healthcare facilities, while Malarvizhi appreciated the team’s efforts in creating the modern facility.
Playback singer Sujatha Mohan congratulated the hospital leadership and spoke about the connection between the heart and music.
In his welcome address, Dr. Rajpal K. Abhaichand stressed the importance of humility, compassion and collective effort in building the institution. Dr. Chandrasekar P. proposed the vote of thanks.
