Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at his residence in Panaiyur, Chennai, on Monday, following their marriage.
The couple reportedly discussed their wedding and their upcoming film, Ranabaali, during the meeting and received the Chief Minister’s wishes.
Vijay Deverakonda later shared his experience on X, expressing happiness at spending time with the Chief Minister. He said that although they were meeting after a long time, Vijay welcomed them warmly and shared his personal views on life, work and world affairs.
The actor added that the meeting had made the Chief Minister a favourite of his in just one interaction, and conveyed his affection and respect.
Rashmika Mandanna had earlier starred opposite Vijay in the film Varisu. The newly married actors’ upcoming film, Ranabaali, is scheduled for a nationwide release on October 16.
