Actor Karthik Sabesh, 37, son of music composer Sabesh and nephew of composer Deva, died in Chennai on Tuesday following health complications.
Karthik had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the past month. He acted in films including Vallavan, Pattathu Yaanai and Kulir 100 Degree.
His death comes amid a period of bereavement for the family. Deva’s brother Sabesh passed away on October 23 last year, according to the report, while Deva reportedly died on Saturday.
The family is said to be yet to recover from the recent loss.
Members of the film industry have expressed condolences over Karthik’s death.
His final rites are scheduled for 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday at the crematorium in Valasaravakkam, Chennai.
