SILAII, an Indian sculptural home décor brand, gifted cars to four employees in recognition of their contributions to the company’s growth at a ceremony held at Santhosh Hall, VGP Resort, Chennai, on Saturday.
The recipients were Ragul Kishan, Chief Production Officer; Midhun Mohan, Marketing Head; Nishanth, Research and Development Head; and Sathiya Narayanan, Production Head. Their families were invited to choose their preferred cars, making the gesture a celebration of shared success.
SILAII Founder and CEO Arun Titan said the initiative was inspired by seeing a long-serving employee travelling with his family on a two-wheeler after a long journey. He wanted employees who had contributed to the company’s growth to enjoy greater comfort and safety with their families.
The surprise was revealed through personal letters presented to the employees at a dinner, followed by an opportunity for their families to select the cars. Arun Titan said SILAII has more than 250 employees, with women accounting for nearly 80 per cent of its factory workforce. Many are from rural communities and have gained formal employment and opportunities to develop their artistic skills. Founded in 2019, SILAII produces handcrafted sculptures for home décor, corporate gifting and public installations.
The company says it has sold more than two lakh products and has a presence in over 50 countries. Its projects include a 30-foot Nilgiri Tahr sculpture installed in front of the Tamil Nadu Secretariat.
