Teen Arrested After Luxury Car Gets Stuck in Sea at Surat Beach

In a dramatic incident driven by social media obsession, an 18-year-old youth was arrested after his luxury Mercedes car got stranded in the sea while attempting a stunt on the banned stretch of Dumas Beach in Gujarat’s Surat district.
According to police, vehicles have been strictly prohibited on Dumas Beach due to safety concerns and environmental
regulations.
However, the teenager, eager to create a viral adventure video, drove a Mercedes-Benz C220 onto the beach and began performing stunts.
He reportedly asked his friend to record the act for social
media. Moments later, the car became stuck in the wet sand as waves began to
rise.
Bystanders rushed to help but were unable to move the heavy vehicle. A crane was later brought in to pull the car out of the
water.
The video of the incident quickly spread across social media platforms, prompting swift police action.
The youth was arrested for violating the beach traffic ban, and the car’s owner was also detained for allowing the vehicle to be used.
Police officials said a complaint would be filed with the insurance company, and further legal action is being pursued.
Authorities have once again warned against risky stunts made for online fame, stressing that such acts endanger both lives and public safety.
