TDP worker chokes to death after date fruit lodges in throat

In a shocking and tragic incident, a 42-year-old Telugu Desam Party (TDP) worker died after a piece of date fruit got stuck in his throat at Benukonda in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh.
The deceased has been identified as Gangadhar (42), an active worker of the Telugu Desam Party and a resident of the Benukonda area. He was known to be fond of eating dates, which are rich in nutrients.
On the day of the incident, Gangadhar reportedly ate the date fruit in a hurry. He is said to have bitten off a piece and swallowed it without properly chewing, causing it to lodge in his throat, leading to severe breathing difficulty.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where first aid was administered. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to a hospital in Anantapuram. However, he died on the way to the hospital.
Gangadhar is survived by his wife and a young son. His sudden death has plunged his family members and party workers into deep shock.
