Speculation is rife on social media that globally popular South Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, may visit India for the first time in 2026 as part of their upcoming world tour, triggering widespread excitement among Indian fans.
According to reports circulating online, the group’s organisers are exploring plans to host a major concert in Mumbai in early 2026.
While no official confirmation has been issued so far, the buzz gained momentum following a recent remark by BTS member Kim Taehyung during a live broadcast on December
27.
Addressing Indian fans, he reportedly said, “Namaste Indian Army, see you next year,” setting off a wave of enthusiasm across fan communities.
All seven members of BTS — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — are expected to complete their mandatory military service commitments by June 2025.
Reports suggest that the group is currently working on a new album and is planning an extensive global tour featuring around 60 to 65 concerts between May and December 2026.
Adding to the speculation, BTS’ parent company HYBE launched its Indian subsidiary, HYBE India, in Mumbai in September 2025.
The move is seen as a strategic step that could pave the way for large-scale K-pop concerts in the country.
However, sources clarify that neither BTS’ label BigHit Music nor HYBE has officially announced any India tour dates or venues so far.
Fans continue to await a formal statement as anticipation builds for what could be a landmark moment for live music in India.
