Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan hosted Pongal celebrations at his official residence in New Delhi on Tuesday, continuing a tradition he has followed over the past few years. The event was marked by traditional rituals and wide participation from different walks of life.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the celebrations as the chief guest. Traditional Pongal was prepared and served in his presence, lending a festive and cultural tone to the occasion.
The function was attended by judges, senior officials, experts from various fields, political leaders, film personalities and journalists. Representatives from different political parties also took part in the celebrations.
Members of the upcoming Tamil film Parasakthi were present at the Pongal event. Actor Ravi Mohan attended along with his friend Kelisha. Actor Sivakarthikeyan and music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar were also present, drawing attention from guests and the media.
